The Wall Street Crash of 1929, also known as the Great Crash, and the Stock Market Crash of 1929, was the most devastating Stock Market Crash in the history of the United States, taking into consideration the full extent and duration of its fallout. The October 1929 crash came during a period of declining real estate values in the United States. On October 24th a day that is now called Black Thursday the market plummeted further.This scared alot of americans. The impact of the wall street crash left 12 million people out of work, 20,000 companies had gone bankrupt, and 23,000 people commited suicide in one year- the highest ever!!!
